MySQL vs. Frontier

Brent Simmons erklärt MySQL für Frontier-User: »MySQL runs on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and other Unix-type operating systems. MySQL can be accessed not just from PHP (which is very common) but from Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, and so on. But none of these languages are as tightly integrated with the database as UserTalk is in Frontier.« Was er damals noch nicht wissen konnte: Frontier kann mittlerweile nicht nur SQLite, sondern auch mit MySQL reden.
